EQ Boston Terriers

At EQ Bostons, we breed for our next show prospect, and for the breed's future. We live near Spokane, WA and have been involved in Boston Terriers for nearly 20 years. Our goal is to improve upon each generation in quality and health through OFA Health Testing, evaluation of conformation in the AKC showring, and studying the breed standard. We breed ONLY to the BTCA / AKC Standard, striving for sound structure and classic Boston Terrier type. We do NOT breed to fads, public demand, or are motivated by profit. We breed Bostons as they should be. Nothing less!
who we are as breeders
Health Testing
We OFA test our Bostons for the most common problems in the breed. We BAER test for normal hearing, CAER test annually to screen for eye issues, Patella test every other year to screen out luxating patellas, and JHC test to eliminate any carriers of Juvenile Hereditary Cataracts. We also test Cardiac and have started to test spines as well. As it becomes available, we will add BOAS testing for healthy airways. Though health testing does not 100% guarantee there will never be a health issue, it greatly reduces it. This is an area we will not compromise in.
Showing
We compete in conformation showing not only for fun, but for its intended purpose - Evaluation of breeding stock. We believe it's important to have an unbiased, experienced and educated third party evaluate breeding dogs on a regular basis. We have shown local, at a national level, as well as have had our dogs titled in other countries. Though we mostly focus on Conformation and FastCat, we have bred dogs that have multiple performance titles.
